'Red Dead Redemption 2' Out Really Soon? [Release Date, Gameplay & Rumors]

There are rumors that “Red Dead Redemption 2” is already in the works and set to release sometime in 2016. Fans have been waiting for the game sequel for several months and eagerly waiting for official confirmation from game developer Rockstar Games.

Talks are circulating that Rockstar Games is in the development stage of “Red Dead Redemption 2” and the game might launch in October 2016. There will allegedly be three new playable characters. Crossmap cited that Jack Marston, the son of the main protagonist in the original game, will appear in the sequel. Jack is rumored to be the main protagonist for “Red Dead 2” and the plot will generally focus on him.

There may also be a co-op multiplayer mode, which was not present in the original game. Crossmap also revealed that the upcoming game will most likely be playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Fans should wait for an official announcement from Rockstar Games. Until then, the details are merely speculations. In the meantime, Rockstar is reportedly preparing their final plans for “Grand Theft Auto V,” before moving on to work on “Red Dead Redemption 2.” If the developers work according to schedule, the game might launch in October 2016 as expected.

Gamers have long waited for the sequel of first game, but Rockstar Games is not in a rush to make follow-ups. Previously, Rockstar Games stated that they do not immediately work on sequels but it does not mean that they will not, eventually. Bandwidth and timing were said to be among the reasons why the developer opted not to focus on the installment despite the original game’s success. Rockstar also mentioned that they were optimistic that “Red Dead” was going to become a franchise.

Venture Capital Post wrote that the title of the sequel is still unknown, but there are rumors that it would be “Red Dead Redmeption 2: Legends of the West.”

As for the three additional playable characters in the new game. Yibada reported that the two will be Irish and Seth. Irish is from Kansas City and works as a bank teller. Seth is said to have grown up in Ireland, before moving to America. The third character is said to be one that players will create, somewhat similar to the multiplayer on “GTA V.”
