Fans of the Super Smash Bros. series are eager to find out more about the upcoming fourth entry into the franchise, which will be coming to the Wii U and 3DS sometime in 2014. Nintendo has frequently updated fans on the game via the title's official website, and a new screenshot released shows that the game will have much more dynamic stages than ever before.

The screenshot, shown above, shows off a new section of the previously revealed Pilotwings stage. In this screenshot, the Villager from Animal Crossing is seen squaring off against Mario on the wings of a biplane, as it zooms down the streets of a city. This dynamic background certainly will give the stage some interesting twists, as the stage will have to shift around as the plane maneuvers through the air to avoid obstacles. This could lead to some fun matches as players scramble to stay balanced on the stage and use the terrain to their advantage. Plus, this shifting stage could cause items spawning in the level to end up falling off the stage if the plane is turning at the right angle. This definitely makes the Pilotwings stage of the game one to look out for when the game is released.

In addition to the preview of this new stage, Nintendo may reveal a new fighter for the game this week, if previous character announcements are any indication. The first roster announcement came during E3, on June 11, when a dozen characters were revealed, including newcomers The Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, and Capcom's Mega Man. Just over one month later, on July 12, Nintendo announced that Olimar and the Pikmin he is able to control would be returning to the game. The last roster update came on Aug. 7, when Luigi was announced as returning to the game as well. If the pattern holds true, that means fans can expect another fighter to be announced fairly soon. So far Nintendo has held off announcing new additions to the roster, so they may finally announce a new character in September. However, Nintendo may choose instead to reveal another veteran character for the game as they have in the past, waiting for big events to show off new characters.

Super Smash Bros. 4 is one of the most anticipated games coming in 2014, so look out for more news on the game right here in the coming months.
