With the huge success of the LG G3 this year, it is highly expected that the company's upcoming flagship smartphone, the LG G4, will even do better when it is officially launched next year.

Featuring one of the best displays, features, and battery lives among the current crop of smartphones, the LG G3 was widely regarded as one of the best, if not the best smartphone of the year, states I Know Today.

Given that premise, LG has to come up with something truly innovative and raise the bar higher if they expect G4 to top the features and do better than the G3. Apparently, the Korean tech company is capable of delivering it on its next flagship handset come 2015, adds the report.

The International Business Times disclosed that the LG G4 would likely be released either on May or June 2015.

There were reports last week that there would be a delay in the production and delivery of Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, the same processor which shall power the Sony Xperia Z4 and the Samsung Galaxy S6, that would put aside the smartphones' release dates next year. But it appears that the problem would be solved before its projected release date so LG would not have any problem with its roll out, adds the IB Times.

I Know Today also states that the LG G4 will feature a new display technology that will bring the industry to doing away with bezels on touch screen displays.

Rumors have it that the G4 will come with either a 2K or 4K resolution Super AMOLED display built from sapphire crystal glass or Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It shall also come out with either a 5.5-inch or a 5.9-inch display. Because of its bezel-less look, the G4 design will actually look similar to Sharp's Aquos Crystal television, adds the report.

LG's upcoming flagship smartphone shall also feature LTE Cat 6, NFC Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 3.0 port. When it rolls out, it shall also come with the Android 5.0 Lollipop, notes the IB Times.

Speculations about the price of the LG G4 placed the handset at between $650 to $700, which means that it would be cheaper than the iPhone 6 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 as well as the upcoming flagship phones iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S6. Nonetheless, it would still be a bit more expensive when compared to the upcoming HTC One M9, details I Know Today.

LG has yet to confirm all of these speculations about the G4's release date, specifications and price.
