Apple's latest mobile operating system (OS) is on its way to launch and with its debut near the iPhone 5 release, it is highly speculated the device will feature the latest OS - iOS 6.
Apple is set to make several announcements regarding its products on Sept. 12, the date rumored to be the launch for the iPhone 5 in terms of preorders. At the event, more information should be revealed about the availability of the iOS 6.
As Latinos Post reported, the launch of the iPhone 5 is expected to be the "biggest handset launch in history," according to FBR Capital analyst Craig Berger. It could sell over 250 million units during its lifetime, and with the addition of the iOS 6, those numbers could be true.
The iOS 6 will be available for various Apple products, such as, the iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPod Touch's fourth generation, and the upcoming iPad Mini, also scheduled for a September or early October launch.
The latest iOS will not feature Google Maps and YouTube, and will be replaced with Apple's version of Google Map - Map App. The Map App features a Flyover, a 3D mapping system that creates photographic three-dimensional satellite views.
Additional improvements for the iOS 6 include an advanced Siri, which is reported to be more accurate and familiarize with more languages.
An enhanced integration with Facebook and Twitter will be in the iOS 6 which will give users an easier time sharing photos, media files, and contacting others.
A new app titled Passbook introduces Apple into the payment system that rival Google has for their devices.
The iPhone 5 is will be available for AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon Wireless customers and can cost up to $800 without a standard two-year contract but can go as low as $199 when signing a contract.
