Beyond: Two Souls accidently went on sale during Sony's preorder for the game, causing the publisher to have to ask for more money for the upcoming game starring the likes of Willem Dafoe and Ellen Page.

The game, made by Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream, is suppose to retail for the standard $60, as it shows on Sony's web store, however, Gamestop is reporting that at the end of June the game's price accidently dropped to around $35, and many gamers took advantage of this and bought the game at the reduced price.

Since then Sony has begun emailing customers who bought Beyond: Two Souls at the wrong price, and informed them that they will have to pay almost double what they originally paid in order to get their copy of the game. To help pay for this sudden charge, Sony is offering affected customers a $5 voucher as an apology for the mix, though that gift can be used for any game of the customers choosing if they would rather get something else after the price correction.

While it is unfortunate that some customers ended up buying the game at the reduced price and may be upset about it, they should have probably known that the game would of had a price at $60 as is the industry standard. Given that this is a high profile release starring two Hollywood actors, Quantic Dream is probably going to need as much money as they can to make sure they recoup the costs of making the game.

Beyond: Two Soul voice and motion capture actress Ellen Page recently made a splash in video game news when she revealed her feelings about The Last of Us' Ellie, who Page feels is a rip-off of her looks. This is after that game's developer, Naughty Dog, changed the character model to look less like Page and more like her voice actor. However, many fans still pointed out the similarities, and Page herself was upset about Ellie's model.

Look out for Beyond: Two Souls news as we get closer to the game's October 8 release exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
