Those wishing to get their hands on The Elder Scrolls Online who did not qualify for the game's closed beta may have a chance to get their hands on a playable demo of the game...if they live in Germany. The game will be making a playable appearance at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany from August 22-25. Anyone looking for more information about Gamescom can find it on the event's website.

This game is due for a release sometime later this year, but so far no set release date has been announced. However, early impressions of the game has been positive so far. Last month, someone leaked a video of the game still in the beta phase detailing character creation and the early portion of the game, but the video has since been taken down.

The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the biggest MMO's to come out this year, and both fans of the series and MMO players are eager to explore the world of Tamriel, which includes the areas featured in previous Elder Scrolls games. This includes Morrowind, Cyrodiil, and Skyrim. Though the current beta is now closed, players can still sign up for future beta periods on the game's website. Bethesda plans to expand the beta in time so that more areas of the game can be tested, and with more players taxing the servers and game.

Bethesda is planning to have a big 2013, and The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the games that figures to make that happen. Another big game coming out from the company is the survival horror game The Evil Within, whose teaser videos made many think that the game could've been a new Wolfenstein game. In addition, many are hoping that the publisher will announce Fallout 4 sometime this year, but so far that game, if it indeed exists, has remained shrouded in mystery.
