Kobe 9 Low 'Game Royal' Release Date & Price: Where to Buy?

The latest colorway of the Kobe 9 is set to launch on June 19, called the "Game Royal".

The Kobe 9 "Game Royal" is one of the bolder designs that the sneaker came in. June 2014 has been an exciting month for sneakerheads as Nike and Jordan Brand released and re-released several popular models and fantastic colorways. On June 19, the Kobe 9 "Game Royal" will be available on the Nike.com website. The shoes retail at $160 and will start selling at 8:00 a.m. EDT. Buyers will be allowed up to two purchases of the sneaker each.

The official colorway of the Kobe 9 "Game Royal" read Game Royal/White-Venom Green on the box. The shoes were influenced by bright and interest-grabbing patterns that can be seen on South American street art. There are a wide array of patterns that mix and blend well together to give the shoe a cool and attractive look. The outsoles and flywires are venom green. The laces, midsole and heel cup are blue and the upper features the wild mix of colors, a report by Kicks on Fire revealed.

The Nike Kobe 9 EM is one of the most attractive sneakers in the current Nike line. The upper features a lot of blue tones with generous amounts of green and yellow too. There are also noticeable polka dots and stripe patterns throughout the upper of the shoe, making it both fun and dynamic. Many sneaker fans commented that these will look great in khaki shorts when worn casually. Any team using green, blue or yellow will also find that the pair matches the uniforms very well.

In a report by Nike, the EM or engineered mesh features a stronger kind of material compared to the regular mesh that previous Kobe lowtop sneakers came in. The shoes feature ultimate lockdown via the flywire technology and full support and cushioning. Guards and point guards will particularly find the shoes very comfortable during games.

The Nike Kobe 9 "Game Royal" will be available at Nike.com, Eastbay.com and Footlocker on June 19. Other special shoe boutiques will also have these available in limited pairs only. Potential buyers have to get coupons or raffle tickets to win a chance to purchase the sneakers in their size.
