The Sacramento Kings are taking a huge gamble by offering huge assets to acquire power forward Kevin Love.

According to Bleacher Report, the Kings are interested to transact for the player, even though it is not yet certain that Love would re-sign with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Some of the possible things that are included in the offer are an eighth overall draft pick, plus a number of players. The Kings are looking forward to adding Love to its roster which already features Rudy Gay, DeMarcus Cousins and Isaiah Thomas.

Other NBA teams have also expressed their interest in seeking Love, such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns.

In a report by Chicago Now, Love seemed to be looking forward to transfer to California. The forward shared that he wanted to be in a team that can make the playoffs. Despite averaging over 27 points per game, Love has missed the playoffs four times. Depending on the available players that the Kings or Lakers have, Love may make the move or decide to stay in Minnesota.

Glen Taylor, owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves, indicated that they are open to the possibility of trading Kevin Love. However, they are not discussing matters to any team. Taylor said that they assume that Love will still be with them in the following season. Flip Saunders is preparing for the NBA draft and seeking for a new coach. He said that these are their priorities at the moment although they understand that there are risks of not contemplating on Love's next move.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are currently in a rebuilding phase and if losing Love is part if the plan, other NBA teams will also have to prepare for the bottom price that Minnesota is willing to settle for.

As for the Sacramento Kings, a transaction to get Love may involve a sign-and-trade deal for Rudy Gay. The deal will only be completed depending on the kind of player combination that the Kings are willing to give up and if it is acceptable to the Wolves.
