The home court generally has the duty to pump up the crowd and make sure that defense stays tight and opponent's free throws are missed. Comically though in a report by the Yard Barker, the Atlanta Hawks home court used Nicolas Cage to psych out the enemy.

The Hawks had the creative idea of distracting the Detroit Pistons at the line by showcasing Nicolas cage scenes to boost the spirits of fans. A video on Vine shows scenes of the Hollywood star from movies with big bold words stating, "Yell", "Can't Hear You" and "Make Noise", according to Bleacher Report.

The Hawks fans seemed to adapt well to the idea, as they screamed and waved from their seats each time any of the Pistons would step on the line for a free throw shot.
