Jay Z New Song Features Lebron James? NBA Star Raps About His 'Money, Whips, and Rings' [Listen Here]
The four-time NBA MVP has dubbed over a song by supreme rapper Jay-Z, adding a few lines in the latter's latest release "F**kwithmeyouknowigotit," which is part of the rapper's "Magna Carta Holy Grail" album, according to a report by Sports Illustrated. In the song, LeBron drops the mike to a tamer version of track, singing "Roll with us 'cause you know we got it" and ad libing some lines with it.
Here are some of the NBA champ's extra lines, as transcribed by TMZ.
"Say what you want about the king,
Got money, got cribs, got whips, and oh yeaaa (bleeped) got two rings (2 rings, 2 rings)"
The remix was recorded in the summer with Sian Cotton, LeBron's longtime friend who is an aspiring rapper. They titled their version "Kingdom."
"We were working out together and LeBrong said 'let's get in the booth,'" Cotton told TMZ. "I said I'm going tonight, so he came to the studio."
According to Radio.com, this isn't the first time the basketball star dabbled into the world of music. Early this year, he performed Juvenile's 1999 hit song "Back That Azz Up" at the Take Charge Foundation's charity event. At the same show, organized by teammate Shane Battier, he and the other Heat players put up quite a performance singing beats on "Blurred Lines" and "Get Low."
