Derrick Rose, the 2010 NBA Most Valuable Player, is deep in rehabilitation from his latest knee surgery. His thoughts though are not on him getting better. In a report from the NY Daily News, his more concerned about what the Chicago Bulls lineup would be upon his return.

He had reportedly told confidants that hhe worries the Bulls would allow key teammates to be let go due to free agency. This would result in a rebuilding program that he would be forced to undergo, and something that he doesn't want to go through.

SB Nation reports that the Bulls woes are already creeping, and with their star player would still close to a year away from returning. In the last twelve games Rose was out of the Bulls' lineup, they had lost nine games. The team scored fewer than 80 points per-game and shot below 40 percent from the field in four of the last six of its games.

Compounding the Bulls woes for the long term was its failure to sign an agreement with forward Luol Deng. As such, Deng would become an unrestricted free agent come summer. Another vital cog, forward Carlos Boozer, is on the last year of his $16.8 million contract with the team. According to CBS Sports, Boozer is "a prime target"for the management's amnesty or trade provisions.

Many news outlets had tried to allay the fears of the Bulls' superstar. CSN Chicago analyzed the situation and said that the trepidation he is feeling is "quite a stretch", even with a worst case scenario.

In the analysis, the site noted that should there be no trades to happen in the year, All Star center Joakim Noah will still be under contract until 2016, Jimmy Butler is still in his rookie contract for another year before becoming a restricted free agent, and vital player, forward Taj Gibson is in the first year of a four year deal with the team. This means a rebuilding process may not see horizon for the team anytime soon.
