Andrew Bynum, who has been participating in 3-on-3 drills in the Cleveland Cavaliers' training camp, is reportedly close to having his first full practice with the team, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported.

In an interview with Mary Schmitt Boyer of the Plain Dealer, Brown revealed that the 7-foot-center has been working hard in practice particularly in 3-on-3 competitions. And when asked when will Bynum have his first full practice, the defensive minded-coach said: "This is just my opinion: I think he's close."

Although he believes that Bynum is close to practicing fully with the squad, Brown admitted that he is unsure whether or not the All-Star center will be available in their remaining preseason games, saying that the team will take a cautious approach on Bynum's recovery.

"He looks good. We just want to make sure that we're cautious with this thing and we're handling it the right way. Andrew has done a great job. We're excited about his progress and where he's at," Brown said.

Bynum, who missed the entire 2012-13 NBA season after getting traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Philadelphia 76ers, signed a two-year deal with the Cavaliers this summer.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers is also expected to take a cautious approach on their top rookie pick Anthony Bennett, who has been slowed down by medical issues.

In an Associated Press reported that was published on ESPN, coach Brown confirmed that the 2013 first-overall pick is dealing with breathing issues caused by asthma and was also diagnosed with sleep apnea.

Bennett, who averaged 10 points and 6.3 rebounds in three preseason games with the Cavaliers, did not have enough time to work on his conditioning during the offseason due to shoulder problems.

"It's a culmination of a lot of things. The shoulder, he's been out for a while, he's got asthma. We're throwing a lot at him. He's probably never played this hard against this competition in his life. He's got sleep apnea and some other things. He likes to stay up late," Brown said on the condition of Bennett.
