D Wade's Journey to 3: Dwyane Wade To Release Behind-The-Scene Film Of Miami Heat 2013 Title Run
Dwyane Wade will give the fans a behind-the-scene look at the title run of the Miami Heat in the 2012-13 NBA season through a film that will be posted on his website next week.
Titled "D Wade's Journey To 3", the short film will show an inside look at the tough journey of the superstar guard before getting his third NBA title, including a look on the injuries and pain that he had to endure last season.
In an interview with AP writer Tim Reynolds that was published by Yahoo Sports, Wade said that the short film will also show how he and LeBron James underwent intense workout and one-on-one sessions before Game 1 of their NBA Finals series against the San Antonio Spurs.
The film will show a scene wherein Wade and James were training a night before the Finals' series opener. In that late-night workout, the superstars were also seen doing boxing sparring sessions and catching medicine balls thrown at each other as part of their intense workout, showing how determined they were to win their second title together.
"I think it's going to give people a different perspective on what it all meant to me," said Wade, who released a sneak preview of the film on his website on Wednesday.
Another interesting scene in the film is the moment where Wade addressed his critics, including Charles Barkley and those who said last season that his game is already declining.
"A lot of people are all, 'He ain't got it no more. He ain't this. He ain't that.' Anybody who wants to pick up a basketball and meet me at the gym can do that," Wade said.
Despite playing hurt in the finals series against the Spurs, Wade managed to average 19.6 points per game, helping the Heat escape with a hard-fought Finals victory in seven games.
