Los Angeles Lakers great and current LA Dodgers part owner Magic Johnson believes he still got an edge over Michael Jordan despite his status as the greatest player to ever play the game.

Johnson, who led the Lakers to five championships during their glorious run in the 1980s, said there's one aspect of the game that he thinks Jordan would never beat him - and that's running a team.

With all the scoring prowess and athleticism Jordan possessed during his prime, Magic believes the Bulls guard would never be as good as him when it comes to dishing dimes and setting up his teammates.

"Michael would win. That's not my game. My game is assisting, setting up my teammates. Michael's the greatest one-on-one player. I couldn't go out and drop 60 like him, but he couldn't run a team like I could," said Johnson, who won the NBA Most Valuable Player award three times and led the league in assists four times.

Johnson also talked about the importance of education in his post-NBA career and him being a winner in his speech in front of 125 employees and 20 students from the city of Saginaw during his visit at Dow Coming Corp.

"I was just like you. Growing up poor doesn't mean you have to have poor dreams," Johnson said according to Midland Daily News. "I was the first to go to college. Education can change everything."

"The thing is, I'm a winner. My whole thing is about winning. I wanted to create change in Urban America. I thought we needed more theaters, so I brought in Magic Johnson theaters. That's how it (Magic Johnson Enterprises) all started," he added.

Johnson, who is considered one of the most influential businessmen in the sporting world, was a member of the group that purchased the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2012. A year later, Dodgers booked their spot in the MLB playoffs after clinching the National League West Division title with a 90-66 slate.
