The Houston Rockets further boosted their lineup by acquiring veteran swingman Ronnie Brewer, a source close to the situation reported on Monday.

The Rockets addressed their lack of depth in the small forward position by adding the 28-year old Brewer, who averaged 3 points and 2 rebounds during the 2012-2013 season.

Brewer played the first 46 games of last season with the New York Knicks before he was shipped to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for a second-round pick in 2014 NBA Draft.

Brewer is considered as a solid defensive player with the ability to contribute steady points off the bench. His best season came during his tenure with the Utah Jazz. During the 2008-2009 season, Brewer averaged 13.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals per ballgame.

The 6-foot-7, 226-pound Brewer is expected to come off the bench behind starter Chandler Parsons and Omri Casspi. Nevertheless, he will likely assume more minutes next season due to the Rockets' lack of reliable swingmen.

Meanwhile, Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade will spend the offseason training with famous athletic guru Tim Grover.

Wade, who struggled all season long with various injuries, will train with Grover for six weeks in an effort to address his declining athleticism and explosiveness.

"I don't train my clients to be good as new, I want them to be better than ever," Grover said about working with Wade again, according to Real GM. "That's the goal for Dwyane."

Wade averaged 21.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.9 steals per game during the 2012-2013 season. However, a knee injury bothered Wade throughout the postseason. Nevertheless, the former Finals MVP still came through with solid performances in the championship series against the San Antonio Spurs to help the Heat win their second straight title and third of his career.
