San Antonio Spurs Against Miami Heat: Live Score, Live Streaming & TV Schedule For Game 4 Of NBA Finals 2013
After playing perhaps his most anemic postseason game ever in Tuesday's 113-77 beating at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs, a moody LeBron James took the podium on Wednesday's press conference and gave everybody in the room a hint of what to expect from him in Game 4.
"I guarantee I'll be better [Thursday] for sure. I'll be better. I'll be much better than [Tuesday] night," James told reporters with a bit eagerness and anger.
Miami Heat fans hope James is true to his words but if not another NBA Finals disaster is at hand in Texas.
On Thursday, the Heat and the Spurs will take center stage once again to resume their all-out war.
Miami, who never faced a 3-1 hole in the postseason since the start of the 'Big 3' era, is on a brink of a major meltdown following a series of subpar performance from their MVP player.
James has been held by the mighty Spurs defense under 20 points in the first three games in the series. Ironically, the last time he struggled this much offensively was way back in the 2011 NBA Finals, when Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks shocked the Heat in six games to win their first ever championship.
But for LeBron, Game 3's awful shooting display (7-for-21 on the floor) was already a distant memory while Thursday's ballgame is an opportunity to amend his mistakes and make an impact for his team, particularly on the offensive end of the floor.
On the other hand, the Spurs are brimming with confidence after pulling off a sensational win on Tuesday. Though there's a bit of drama prevailing in the locker room over the past couple of days with Tony Parker suffering a slight hamstring strain, the Spurs are ready to go with their own 'Big 3' intact and role players Danny Green and Gary Neal all set to drop more three-point bombs like they did in Game 3.
After two consecutive blow-out win in the series, Game 4 of the 2013 NBA Finals is expected to be a back-and-forth contest, which could be decided beyond regulation time.
A better showing will be most likely for Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and James but the key to a Miami victory will boil down to the contribution of its role players. Mario Chalmers produced nothing in 20 minutes of playing time on Tuesday and that came after pouring on 19 points in the Heat's 103-84 in Game 2.
Meanwhile, the Spurs really need a big night from Manu Ginobili, who just scored 23 points total in the series. Rebounding and ball distribution are another areas the Spurs should dominate, if they want to seize a commanding 3-1 series lead in the finals.
The NBA pre-game show starts at 8:00 p.m ET and the Game 2 tip-off starts at 9:00 pm ET.
