NBA Finals 2013: Lakers Legend Magic Johnson Disappointed on LeBron James' Game 3 Showing (Video)
ESPN basketball analyst and NBA great Magic Johnson is disappointed regarding the performance of LeBron James in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, believing the four-time MVP has to step up in the next game or else the series will be over.
Johnson, who serves as one of the analysts in ESPN's coverage of the NBA Finals, said LeBron has to become a more aggressive player offensively and stop waiting for other struggling teammates to click in offense.
James is coming off perhaps his worst game in the postseason, scoring just 15 points on 7-for-21 shooting from the field in the Heat's 113-77 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
LeBron's shooting efficiency was absent on Tuesday as the Spurs really forced the best player on the planet out of his comfort zone. The impressive part about the Spurs' defense is they were able to suffocate James without sending him to the free-throw line.
Dwyane Wade (16 points), Chris Bosh (12 points and 10 rebounds), and Game 2 hero Mario Chalmers (0 points on 0-for-5 shooting) also couldn't find their spots on the floor, allowing the Spurs to totally rip the game apart.
James had already been held by the Spurs under 20 points for the third straight game. The last time James struggled this much offensively was in the 2011 NBA Finals, where the Heat bowed to the Dallas Mavericks in six games.
The Spurs captured a 2-1 series advantage in their best-of-seven NBA Finals series with the Heat behind hot-shooting hands of Gary Neal and Danny Green, who combined for 13 treys in the game.
Game 4 of the NBA Finals is scheduled on Thursday at AT&T Center.
