NBA Playoffs 2013 TNT TV Schedule, Bracket, Live Stream For Monday, May 13, 2013; Catch LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Joakim Noah, Zach Randolp and More
The weekend action during the 2013 NBA playoffs set the tone for some pivotal Game 4 contests during the semifinals Monday as the road to the NBA title continues.
On Saturday, Roy Hibbert made the difference for the Indiana Pacers with stifling defense and 24 points as he helped the Pacers top the New York Knicks 82-71 in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semifinals series; the Pacers now lead the series 2 game to 1.
In Memphis, Marc Gasol's 20 points were key and a stingy Memphis Grizzlies defense contained Kevin Durant to 25 points as the Grizzlies beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 87-81 to take a 2-1 series lead in their Western Conference semifinal match-up.
And in Golden State, the surprising Warriors shocked the San Antonio Spurs in overtime in Game 4, beating the Spurs 97-87 in overtime thanks to Harrison Barnes' 26 points for the Warriors and 17 second-half points from Stephen Curry.
Now, the action continues on Monday beginning in the East with a very pivotal game in what is arguably the most physical, most personal series of the playoffs going on as league MVP LeBron James and the world champion Miami Heat take on All-Star Joakim Noah and the Chicago Bulls in front of a raucous United Center crowd in Chicago, Illi., at 7 p.m.
The series has taken several ugly turns as the Bulls continue to pour on physical, rough defense that has the Heat annoyed and the Bulls losing their temper, several players having been ejected so far in the last two games. The Heat took a 104-94 win in Game 3 of the series on Friday against a smothering and aggressive Chicago team. Now, the Bulls look to even the series while the Heat look to take a commanding 3-1 lead when the series shifts back to Miami on Wednesday. Can Nate Robinson, Noah and the Bulls pull even, or while James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh be too hot to handle?
Then out West in Memphis, Zach Randolph and the Grizzlies host Durant and the Thunder in Game 4 of the series. This is not unfamiliar territory for the Grizzlies.
In 2011, they also held a 2-1 advantage in Game 4 of their series with the Thunder, but Durant and OKC went on to a 133-123 victory in Game 4 of that semifinals series, going on to win the series in seven games. If Randolph, Gasol and the Grizzlies are students of the game, they will treat this game like a Game 7, but Durant and the Thunder are looking to take the game themselves as they look to return to the NBA Finals.
