Spurs vs. Warriors - TV Schedule & Live Online Streaming: 2013 NBA Playoffs Game 2 Preview
The opening game of the Golden State Warriors-San Antonio Spurs Western Conference semis series has all the makings of an all-time great. From Stephen Curry's mesmerizing shooting exhibition to a huge comeback run from the Spurs to Manu Ginobili's game-winning trey, Monday's epic ballgame was all about what the NBA playoff should be.
On Wednesday, the Warriors and the Spurs will meet again on the hard court of the AT&T Center to resume their entertaining hoops slugfest. For sure, both teams will be making their adjustments coming into Game 2, but in the end, it will still come down to a single bucket.
Despite shocking the third-seeded Denver Nuggets in the first-round, the Warriors were never given a chance to win against the seasoned Spurs, who were coming off a 4-0 sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers.
But all the analyses and the prediction leading up to the series became irrelevant once Curry started firing long range bomb after another.
Curry, who averaged 20 points and 6 dimes in the Warriors' six-game series against the Nuggets, carried over his momentum into the second round of the playoffs as he almost single-handedly grilled the Spurs in Game 1.
Curry used a variety of shots to rack up 44 points - including a 22-point explosion in the third quarter - to provide one of the most memorable individual playoff performance in NBA history. The former Davidson star also record 11 assists, one of which was the pass to Kent Bazemore who went for a go-ahead layup with 3.9 seconds left in the second overtime.
But the Warriors learned a rough lesson - Spurs were tough as nail in the postseason.
With the Warriors leading by as many as 16 with four minutes left, the Spurs came through with the unthinkable as they stormed back from that big hole and forced the game into overtime.
Both teams engaged in a back-and-forth battle in the two overtimes but the Spurs delivered the biggest play of them all courtesy of the cold-blooded trey from Ginobili.
Looking into Wednesday's battle, the Warriors will enter the game with much more confidence, knowing they really have a shot at beating the Spurs.
However, stealing a game in San Antonio won't be that easy and it would certainly needs production from the other key cogs such as Jarret Jack, Harrison Barnes, Andrew Bogut and Clay Thompson, who fouled out in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, the Spurs have to make some tweaks defensively to prevent Curry and the Warriors from burning the net again after allowing them to shot a staggering 51 percent from the field in Game 1.
Without a doubt, Game 2 of the Spurs-Warriors series will be another entertaining, pulsating match with a high possibility of another tight battle at the end.
LIVE STREAMING of Game 2 of Spurs-Warriors will start at 9:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
