Chicago Bulls vs. Miami Heat Video Highlights, Recap - NBA Playoffs 2013
In a critical semifinals series, the Chicago Bulls stunned the Miami Heat in Game 1 of their NBA playoffs series, beating the Heat 93-86 to take a 1-0 lead.
From the bench, Nate Robinson once again answered the call for the Bulls in what has been a red-hot postseason for him so far, scoring 27 points while Jimmy Butler shipped in with a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds.
The Heat had the lead, 86-83 with two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, but the Bulls turned it up a notch on offense, rattling off the final 10 points of the game to overcome the Heat. All-Star forward Joakim Noah chipped in with 13 points while Taj Gibson and Marco Belinelli added in double figures in scoring as well for the Bulls.
Fresh off a Game 7 win on Saturday against the Brooklyn Nets, the Bulls have been rolling forward with momentum on their side, while the Heat were looking rusty after a lengthy layoff following their 4-0 sweep of the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round. The Heat haven't played basketball since April 28.
NBA MVP Lebron James scored 24 points on 8-of-17 shooting, but air-balled a critical jumper with 32 seconds left in the game and Miami down 90-86, while Dwayne Wade scored only 12 on 7-of-16 shooting. Chris Bosh scored 9 for Miami.
With Game 2 on Wednesday in Miami, the Bulls have started the series the same way they did in their 2011 Eastern Conference Finals series against Miami, taking Game 1. However, the Heat roared back during that series to take the next four games en route to the Finals that year. With two days until the next game to make adjustments, the Heat will look to get past their hated rival Chicago again, while the Bulls look to finally turn the tables on their nemesis for another shot at the Eastern Conference Finals.
