Chicago Bulls All-Star forward Luol Deng was released from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago late Saturday afternoon after being diagnosed with spinal fluid leakage.

Deng, who averaged 16.5 points and 6.3 rebounds this season for the Bulls, reportedly underwent a procedure called blood patch to prevent further spinal fluid leakage.

After playing the first five games in the series against the Nets, the two-time NBA All-Star decided to skip Thursday's Game 6, which saw Nate Robinson and Taj Gibson playing with a fever.

Deng reportedly experienced symptoms of spinal tap such as headaches and disorientation after fluid was drained from his spine on Wednesday.

With the Bulls facing the top-seeded Miami Heat in the second round of the playoffs following a gutsy 99-93 win over the Brooklyn Nets in Game 7, Deng's status remains unknown as he was listed day-to-day.

Kirk Hinrich is also questionable in the series-opener against the Heat on Monday due to a bruised right calf. Hinrich, who played a crucial role in the Bulls' playoff resurgence, has not played a single minute since logging close to 60 minutes in the Bulls' triple-overtime victory in Game 4.

"Time will tell," Hinrich told the Chicago Tribune on Saturday. "I've been doing everything I can but it isn't ready yet."

On the positive side, Joakim Noah said he's close to 100 percent after being hampered with plantar fasciitis for months. The Bulls All-Star center racked up 24 points, 14 rebounds and 6 rebounds to lead the Bulls back to the Eastern Conference semifinals.

"I feel great," Noah told the Chicago Tribune. "My foot is barely a factor anymore. I don't know how that happened because the day before the playoffs, I didn't know if I was going to be able to play. To be in this situation, I'm not taking it for granted."
