Kim Kardashian Divorce: Kris Humphries Will Settle If Kim Apologizes
The saga between Kim Kardashian and her estranged husband Kris Humphries could make a sharp turn as the two prepare to face each at a settlement conference in Los Angeles Friday.
After the couple's infamous 72-day marriage came to an end in 2012, the Brooklyn Nets NBA player has been demanding an annulment claiming that he was tricked into marrying Kardashian as a ploy to boost the ratings on her TV reality series. However, Kim denies those charges and has been fighting for a divorce.
The battle between the separated pair could come to an end if the 32-year-old TV personality gives the ball player an apology. According to RadarOnline.com, a source has revealed that "Kris has never said he won't settle, but he has certain conditions and terms that he wants Kim to agree to that don't include money."
Contrary to reports, the 28-year-old Brooklyn Nets player has "never asked for $7 million in a settlement from Kim," the insider added.
"Put simply, if Kim were to formally apologize to Kris in court tomorrow - and if he felt it were sincere - he would likely agree to end the marriage and avoid the trial."
On top of that, the athlete also wants the pregnant reality star to release a formal statement to the media, apologizing.
However, things could go wrong in a hurry, the source told Radar, adding: "If Kim comes into court with an attitude and acting full of herself, Kris will absolutely take this to trial."
If both sides are unable to reach an agreement the trial will proceed on May 6.
