Michael Jordan and fiancée Yvette Prieto look like they're eyeing a spring wedding.

According to TMZ, Jordan and his Cuban model fiancée Prieto, 32,  who have been engaged since December 2011, have set the wedding date for April 27. Jordan proposed to Prieto during the Christmas weekend

Jordan already filed for a wedding license earlier this week in Palm Beach County, Fla., Thursday, a spokesperson from the clerk's office confirmed to the L.A. Times.

Once finalized, Jordan's tying of the knot to Prieto will mark his second marriage since his first one to Juanita Vanoy, which lasted from 1989 to 2006.

This latest development in Jordan's personal life has been a happier note considering the recent troubles that have been following the six-time NBA champion in the headlines. Earlier this month, a woman in Georgia filed a paternity suit against the iconic basketball superstar, whose net worth is around $650 million.

In the suit, the woman, Pamela Y. Smith, claims that Jordan fathered her 16-year-old teenage son, and was requesting for Jordan to pay child support, take a paternity test and have her son's last name legally be changed to Jordan. Jordan's lawyer John Mayoue moved to dismiss the lawsuit this week.

In a statement to the Associated Press Monday issued through his spokesperson Estee Portnoy, Jordan claimed that he was not the father of Smith's child.

"Public records show that the paternity of the child was established in a prior case in this same court many years ago and that Michael Jordan is not the father," the statement read. "He also filed a counterclaim seeking sanctions for the false claims made against him. It is unfortunate that well-known figures are the target of these kind of claims. Michael Jordan will vigorously defend himself and his reputation."

Jordan further called Smith's lawsuit a "shameless, bad faith attempt to abuse the legal system."

A court date is scheduled for March 12.
