Valencia has a chance to secure the top spot in Group F with a win and Munich draw or loss.

That possibility exists as Munich lost its first match against BATE Borisov, who will be the German side's opponent on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Valencia gets group bottom dweller Lille. Malaga lost to Munich in its opener 2-1, but then took down Lille 2-0. The then destroyed BATE Borisov by a combined socre of 7-2 and then tied 1-1 with Munich. A Munich win does not help them since they only picked up one of six points from the German side, but a win will certainly helps Valencia.

The problem is that Lille is still in contention for the Europa League round of 32. They have been solid at home with only four goals against (versus eight road goals allowed) even thought they have not won their in this tournament. They opened the tournament with a 3-1 home loss to BATE Borisov and then lost 2-0 against Valencia. They played solid in a 1-0 home loss to Bayern Munich but then were trounced by the Germans 6-1 on the road. They finally won on the road 2-0 over BATE Borisov.

Prediction: Valencia should have no trouble. 2-0 win for the Spanish squad.
