HTC One
HTC Ones around the globe should be receiving an Android and Sense update over the next couple months, but thanks to RootzWiki, eager parties can already snag a leaked Android 4.3 Jelly Bean build for the AT&T model.
Good news! The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is coming to the HTC One in the U.S. very soon, within a matter of weeks. The bad news is that the first wave of Android 4.3 updates will not come with a new version of HTC Sense 5.0.
Rumors had the new Metallic Blue HTC One coming soon for Verizon and Sprint, but they didn't see the Best Buy exclusive coming.
In the lead-up to the IFA 2013 consumer electronics show, HTC has made a few announcements, including the new mid-range Desire 601 and entry-level Desire 300. Despite the fact that those are completely new phones, that announcement is probably going to be eclipsed by the simple fact that the HTC One is coming to markets in a new color: "Vivid Blue."
We're all done with the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3 now, right? It seems like that's the case, as the rumor mill has already started grinding away at the Samsung Galaxy S5. Like presidential elections, the ramp up to the next Galaxy S phone has started, only a few months into the S4's incumbency.
Recently, a couple of pictures of a blue HTC One have leaked online, from two different sources. The recent pictures of the cobalt HTC One have bolstered rumors that the device with that unique hue will be headed to store shelves soon. It's just a question of which store shelves.
The HTC One has now hit every major carrier in the U.S., but there may be a little more on the way. As has been recently seen in some leaked photos - first from China's Weibo and now spotted in the "wild" on a rapid transit car in Taiwan, according to GSMInsider. Along with the leaked renders, exposed by @Evleaks long ago, the rumors of a Blue HTC One seem to be adding up.
HTC One users got a bit of good news from HTC's U.S. president last week, as Jason Mackenzie announced on Twitter that the smartphones would receive an Android 4.3 update by the end of September, if there were no major bumps in the road before its release. Now we have evidence that the Android 4.3 release date is indeed on its way, as a pre-release build of the operating system update for the HTC One has leaked online.
The HTC One finally came to Verizon Wireless on Thursday, August 22. But for an even better deal for Verizon customers, check out Jennifer Lopez's Viva Movil division of Big Red, where the HTC One is being launched for $99.99.
Recently, HTC pretty much stated that the HTC One had cost them their profit margins. The expensive solid unibody aluminum chassis and all of the other high-end hardware that goes into making a flagship has just cost too much in the manufacturing process. So the Taiwanese company is probably going to focus on cheaper, mid-tier phones that still deliver a quality experience.
Owners of the HTC One handset in the United States might be headed right for Android 4.3, skipping the Android 4.2.2 update. And that update might be ready for download by the end of September, according to HTC's U.S. president.
After much waiting, the release date for the Verizon HTC One has finally been revealed.
Sprint is looking pretty stylish for the fall. Just after Big Yellow added the "Purple Mirage" Samsung Galaxy S4, the company announced today that it was going to stock its shelves with a "Red Hot" HTC One, while also announcing a new interactive music streaming app that takes advantage of the HTC One's radio tuner.
The HTC One Max may have just gotten a release date window and an unofficial confirmation from HTC.
Verizon Wireless has posted a signup page for information on the HTC One's release date, but the page itself may hint at the release date.
