Fast and the Furious 7 has now finally hit theaters. As the 7th sequel of the movie franchise dominates in the box office, many are contemplating on the possible 8th sequel following it.
The “Captain America” sequel certainly soared high and clipped the wings of “Rio 2” at the weekend box office.
On February 21, two films will be released in wide release and will compete with "The Lego Movie" which has become the first blockbuster of 2014.

"Identity Thief" stole back the box office crown during Oscar weekend.

"Django Unchained' won its fourth straight box office overseas and became the highest grossing film for writer-director Quentin Tarantino.
"Identity Thief" surprised at the box office by beating out new release "Side Effects," winter blizzard Nemo and the Grammys.
This weekend "Identity Thief" and "Side Effects" open nationwide in hopes of taking the box office crown from incumbent "Warm Bodies." They will also open against Winter Storm Nemo which could affect their earnings.
After a long delay due to the Aurora shootings back in July, the Warner Brothers film "Gangster Squad will finally be released.
The Lionsgate slasher movie "Texas Chainsaw 3D" dethroned "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" at the box office. The movie earned the top spot with a gross of $23 million.
The first film in the “Hobbit” trilogy raked in $37.5 million on its opening day, the largest December opening-day gross in history.
