Today on Mira Quien Baila the contestants competed to be one of the two contestants to get nominated for elimination.
The show started with announcement that Fernando Arau was the winner of the first show and therefore won $10,000 and became protected from nomination.
Fernando Arau started with a "Mexican regional" dance. He gave the same energy and precision of last weeks show.Then Henry Santos who lost the best of the show also showed so much energy to "Rock n Roll." The judges however criticized him for sloppiness. Still it was great to watch him have fun on the dance floor.
Argelia Atilano had to go after these outstanding acts in an energetic and rhythmic "meringue." However while she had the right attitude, she lacked flexibility in her body and her legs were too stiff. After, Sammy danced a boring "tango." The judges criticized him for making faces and walking around and not really dancing.
Next Maria Antonietta Nieves danced "Disco." She was accompanied by multiple men. The judges had fun with her characterization but they criticized her dance moves and lack of consistency.
Bobby Pulido danced an extremely difficult "Adagio." He was criticized for not being sensual enough and being too serious. Additionally they stated that he only did half of what was asked of him. For all the bad criticism the judges did say that he danced a really hard dance that should have been done later on in the competition.
Maripily danced a "cha cha cha." While I wasn't thrilled, the judges said she was good if a bit inconsistent in her movements.
Next Alicia Machado danced a "Samba." However, her dance lacked energy and her choreography was too simple. Still the judges were ecstatic. Their only criticism was that she got was that she forgot some of her dance moves.
Maxi Iglesias danced "Urbano"and was too stiff for his own good. The judges said he looked like he was in an aerobics class and not on the dance floor. They also said he lacked force and precision.
Valentina was next to dance. However, all week she was suffering from an injury. The doctors told her that she had her ribs fractured. As a result she was automatically nominated for elimination.
After everyone finished dancing Sammy and Maria Antonietta were chosen to dance again to see who would be nominated. Sammy danced ballroom while Maria Antonietta did not and instead her daughter danced Rock in Roll in her place. However both walked the dance floor instead of dancing.The judges saved Sammy for that reason and Maria Antonietta and Valentina were nominated.
