Lara Bonilla decides to leave as he is relocated to Czechoslovakia by the president of Colombia.

In the meantime Regina begins to become desperate as she does not receive a call or flowers from Pablo.  She begins to call his wife and him but no one answers.

Meanwhile Lara Bonilla decides to take his son's friend Nicolas home without security. Escobar's men are alerted and they begin to follow Lara. However Lara arrives home safely.  The men arrive at his home but miss a shot.

The next day Luis Carlos Galan tells him he must leave Colombia because he is not safe.

Regina continues her desperate calls and she finally gets a hold of him. She tells him that he should not do anything to the minister but Pablo is not persuaded.

That night Lara leaves his home on work. The assassins prepare their plan. The assassins follow Lara's car and shoot him. Lara dies and the police arrest the two assassins.

Lara's family is devastated and Luis Carlos Galan decides to denounce Escobar about the assassination of Lara.

The president also denounces all drug lords and says that he will continue Lara's mission. He will clean Colombia of all drug lords.

In Medellin the police arrest bandits, and some Pablo's men. They then raid Escobar's house but are unable to find him.

While the police raid all the narcs, Escobar's associates escape to Panama. Escobar's family is also forced to leave but Patty objects as she does not want to risk her pregnancy. Pablo's house is raided with his mother and Patty there. His mother tells them to leave stating that Pablo is not home.
