During a press conference, the reporter Nikki Polania confronts Pablo about the origin of his money, but he refuses to speak to her.
Escobar is sworn in as congressman.
In the meantime Nikki continues to find out about Escobar but finds no record of his past crimes.
Escobar continues to court Regina by sending her flowers and inviting her to dinner. Escobar tells Regina that he wants an interview with her. He tells Regina that he wants people to know who he is. Regina agrees and they end up having sex.
Meanwhile Rodrigo is named secretary of justice and immediately starts to crack down on drug traffickers. He starts out by attacking soccer teams and how they are funded illegally.
Escobar finds out he is being attacked by the Secretary and therefore plans to try and discredit him.
During a soccer game Paty and Regina meet but Paty becomes jealous. Pablo gives her excuses but she refuses to accept them.
Regina continues to become part of Escobar's circle as she goes to play cards with all his friends at his ranch.
The newspaper El Espectador's editor Guillermo meets with Luis Carlos and Don Carlo discussing their thoughts of Escobar. Ortiz and Santolini prepare for a debate against Rodrigo over the illegality of Escobar's business. During the debate Ortiz defends himself against Rodrigo's attacks and accuses him of funding his campaign illegally.
