A new stage, a new leader, and a brand new challenge to take on. As expected, Tuesday's team time trial showcased the dominance of the powerhouse teams like Team Sky, Omega Pharma-Quick Step, and Saxo-Tinkoff. However at the end of Stage 4, it was Australia's Orica-GreenEDGE that finished ahead of the group with a time of 25 minutes and 57 seconds. Apparently, it's enough for Simon Gerrans to relish hiss yellow jersey victory, at least for now...
Stage 5 will be another flat terrain battle with sprinters expected to excel for the first time since the Tour's opening stage in Corsica. Yet, the road to the finish line won't be that easy at all in the 228.5 kilometer stage. Riders will have to brace themselves for some windy parts along the Cagnes-sur-Mer to Marseille path with some narrow passage ahead. The stage will nevertheless give fans some pulsating races towards the finish line in Marseille.
Of course, Tour de France contender Chris Froome of Team Sky and Alberto Contador of Team Saxo-Tinkoff will always be there to keep within striking distance before the Tour takes them to the real test beginning Saturday on Stage 8 (Castres - Ax 3 Domaines).
NBC Sports will continue its coverage of the 2013 Tour de France on Monday morning (7:30 E.T) while TSM is set to supply live streaming links throughout the race.
