Grand Theft Auto 5 might have broken records with its release day sales, but not everything has been a success for Rockstar's latest game. Some players have had difficulty collecting enough money in the game to buy some of the more extravagant items, and the game is also causing some major problems with older Xbox 360's models, continuing the game's somewhat shaky reputation

Lucky for GTA 5 players struggling to scrounge together enough cash, some new strategies and cheats recently emerged for collecting more money in the game.

If players are having difficulty gaining enough money, they can manipulate the stock market in the game to reap big rewards, according to IGN. Many different companies found in the game have competitors also on the stock market, and players can invest in one company and then spend their time sabotaging the competition so that their own stocks gain more value.

For example, if players buy interest in one of the airline companies in the game such as FlyUS, and then travel to airports, destroying or crashing rival companies planes, the value of the FlyUS stock will rise as the competitor's prices plummet. Players can then sell the stock for the inflated prices and receive a big payday for their efforts. Of course, this will obviously cause the player's wanted level to rise as they commit mayhem at the airport, but if players are smart enough they can purchase a hanger from the Los Santos airport, which will allow them to do whatever they want without raising their wanted levels. Players can also do this by buying into one franchise store and then destroying their rivals, thus jacking up the value for the player's stores even more. This strategy is a smart way for GTA 5 players to gain enough money to buy the top-tier items found in the game.

This strategy will not work, however, if the user's console crashes while playing the game, which is exactly what is reportedly happening to some Xbox 360 owners, according to Kotaku. Some players are reporting that the game is freezing and crashing Xbox 360's made from 2006-2008 soon after the first mission of the game is completed. No viable solution has been found yet to correct the issue, so owners of older Xbox 360 consoles should be warned about this massive bug.
