Projections for tablet shipments have been lowered as it faces stronger competition in the market.
The next generation of the Google Nexus 7, commonly called the Nexus 7 2, has already been unveiled in the U.S. and released on July 30. But for the U.K., recent reports have put the Nexus 7 2's release date earlier than previously expected.

A new forecast out from market analysis firm International Data Corporation (IDC) has tablets outgrowing laptops and other portable PCs this year, and exceeding the entire PC market, including desktop computers, by 2015. This forecast comes after a dismal first quarter of 2013 saw PC shipments drop over 13 percent worldwide.
