Both "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Guardians of the Galaxy" have been big blockbusters, therefore speculations that the upcoming films, "Captain America: Civil War" and "Guardians of Galaxy 2" will crossover is no longer surprising.

Little remains known of the "Captain America: Civil War" plot. According to Australia Network News however, the huge battle happening between Iron Man and Captain America over the Registration Act leaves room for speculations that the Avengers and the Guardians will become connected. Perhaps not any time soon in "Civil War," but reportedly in either "Avengers: Infinity War 1" and/or "Avengers: Infinity War 2."

The big question is how.

Well according to Movie Pilot,  Thanos will be the big link between the two worlds/films.

Thanos is an extremely powerful supernatural being in the Marvel Cinematic Universe because he currently holds the Infinity Gauntlet. The Avengers may not be able to defeat him on their own. Meanwhile, in the Guardians world, Gamora, who is Thanos' adoptive daughter, is revealed.

Movie Pilot says that the Avengers might use Gamora as their Ace over Thanos. If the Avengers' powers prove futile, then their only hope would be Gamora, who could reportedly use "emotional manipulation."

Meanwhile, according to The Bit Bag, the key to the "Captain America: Civil War" "Guardians of Galaxy 2" crossover will be The Vision, who is powered by one of the Infinity Stones called the Mind stone.

According to the latest "Captain America: Civil War" rumors, the end of the film will see Vision leaving Earth for space. He would reportedly return possibly in "Thor: Ragnarok " and "Guardians of the Galaxy 2."

However, "Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn does not like the speculations. He appeared to debunk the crossover rumors in an interview.

"We really are separate from the Avengers, and I don't think people should assume too many things about the Guardians play in all this, because we have our own galaxy to take care of," Gunn said.

"Thinking that everything is going to come together in a perfect way is not necessarily the way it is going to happen," he added.

"Guardians of the Galaxy 2" cast include Chris Pratt (Star Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Vin Diesel (Groot), Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer) and Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon).

Meanwhile, "Captain America: Civil War" cast include Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Evans (Captain America), Paul Bettany (Vision), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton) and Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff).

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is slated for release in May 5, 2017, while "Captain America: Civil War" will appear in theaters May 6, 2016.
