After episode 19's exposition of Goku's training with Whis, episode 20 appears to show the series' star Goku getting an opportunity to flex his muscles and test his mettle once more.
The upcoming episode is said to be titled "Warning from Jaco! Freeza and 1,000 Soldiers are Fast Approaching!" and will still highlight Goku and Vegeta's training, albeit with a forecast of a battle with a mighty nemesis.
"The preview trailer video for the new 'Dragon Ball Super' episodes starts off with a shot of Jaco the Galactic Patrolman with Gotenks and Trunks," Yibada noted. "Then we can see Freeza along with Sorbet and others in a spaceship."
"The next shot shows Trunks and Gotenks playing with Jaco and it looks like they make him angry," the news portal added. "Before the preview ends, Jaco draws a picture of Freeza and shows it to Bulma and she freaks out. The great villain Freeza and 1000 soldiers are coming."
How will Goku fare against Freeza after training under Whis? Will he be able to beat the enemy in no time or will it take a couple of episodes before he can conquer his foe? Or will we see Goku go within a hair's breadth of death in the forthcoming battle?
The previous episode has marked the beginning of the "Resurrection F" arc, "retelling everything from what fans have seen before from the animated movie," Attack of the Fanboy said.
"The past few episodes were fun to watch because they featured legitimately new material. Episode 19 is a bit weak mainly because it's retelling events exactly like they were in the Resurrection F movie," AOTFB reviewed.
However, the blog admitted that the episode offered a few things that were not in the movie.
"Piccolo now pulls funny faces to entertain baby Pan instead of only just rocking her crib," AOTFB observed, adding that showing Captain Ginyu in his frog form was also a new scene.
"Episode 20 sounds more interesting because Jaco meets Goten and Trunks. Goten and Trunks were not in the animated movie, so next week we will be getting something new," the site predicted. "It poses the question if these two kids might be involved in the fight or not."
On another note, a transformation that has not yet been shown in previous DBZ movies or shows is one of the notable difference in "Dragon Ball Super," although it was already featured in the "Resurrection F" movie. It's called the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan level, which is also known as Super Saiyan Blue.
