Game developer 2K recently responded to the criticism by fans that they would have wanted to see more Divas on the roster of the upcoming game “WWE 2K16.” Specifically, 2K confirmed that The Four Horsewomen will never become available as a downloadable content (DLC).

Game Spot revealed that 2K Sports recently announced all the 120 characters on September 14, 2015,which will be available in “WWE 2K16”. However, some fans commented that they wished for more Divas on the roster. 2K Sports answered that they could not include a number of newer Divas due to various reasons.

"With our final roster reveal this past Monday, it was awesome seeing the excitement for The New Day, Enzo and Cass, Mikey Whipwreck, and more. But it was clear that some in the community are frustrated by the lack of the newer Divas added to the main WWE roster recently,” the game developer wrote on the official website.

2K added that they tried as much as they could to include Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Charlotte and Bayley in “WWE 2K16”, but their efforts simply did not work out for “various reasons”. Furthermore, 2K confirmed that the Four Horsewomen will never become available as a DLC in the future.

There will be 13 Divas in the 120-character roster in the upcoming game, all of which will be playable. This is actually the most Divas ever included in an installment of the wrestling-based game franchise. The roster is also the biggest ever in the history of the franchise.

"We all agree the Divas Revolution is great for business and look forward to celebrating the Divas even more in future WWE 2K titles," 2K Sports stated.

“WWE 2K16” is set to officially release on October 27, 2015. It will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Gamers who preorder the game will also get two playable versions of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator in the film series.

As expected, there will be several legends and new names on the largest roster ever. WWE.com cited that Emma, Eva Marie, Paige, Tamina, Brie Bella, Summer Rae, Nikki Bella, Alicia Fox, Layla, Naomi, Natalya, Stephanie Mcmahon and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, will be among the playable female characters in the list. Some of the greats include Stone Cold Steve Austin, Sting, The Undertaker, Kane, Lex Luger, The Honky Tonk Man, Macho Man Randy Savage, Jake the Snake and the Ultimate Warrior.

More news and updates about the game are expected before the big launch.
