The Cano brothers persuade Galan to quit the elections. They tell him to think of his family and forget the campaign.
In the meantime El Chili and El Topo wait nervously in the car for the Coronel. The Coironel leaves his house and is followed by El Chili. The Coronel's driver stops and leaves the car. El Chili and his men go up to the car and shoot the Coronel to death. Marino informs Pablo that the mission has been complete. The Coronel's driver goes back to the car in desperation.
In the meantime the general is informed of the coronel's death. The president and the coronel's are then informed.
Word gets out ot the rest of the nation. Galan offers his condolences to the family. The Coronel's wife tells Galan that it was the police's fault because they left him alone. She tells Galan that if he is to become president he must do something for the country.
The Coronel's son blames the generalfor his fathers' death. Mariachi's men plan the assassination of Galan. Meanwhile the Coronel's family mourns his death.
The general goes to the morgue but his son insults him one more time. The general tells him that Quintana will receive all the medals of honor. However his son is not satisfied. To find out if Pablo kills Galan watch Monday on Telemundo at 10pm.
