Trevor Booker Amazing Shot! Watch Utah Jazz Player's Crazy Stunt [Video]

It is only the first month of 2015 but the NBA shot of the year might have been already been set.

Inquisitr featured a video of the Oklahoma City Thunder playing against the Utah Jazz on Friday, January 9. The Jazz are up 48-44 in the second quarter with only 0.2 seconds remaining on the shot clock and about one minute left before the halftime break.

The Jazz had possession with Gordon Hayward inbounding the basketball from the right side of the half-court. Newly acquired Dion Waiters was guarding Hayward closely so the point guard passed to his right towards Trevor Booker. Booker was in a low post position with his back to the basket. Russell Westbrook was guarding him. The bounce pass from Hayward went straight into Booker's two hands. Without even catching the ball or taking a glimpse of the rim, Booker tapped the basketball up and back over his head, based on the same report by Inquisitr.

The ball looped over him and Westbrook then went straight neatly into the basket, giving the Jazz a six-point advantage. Hayward was amazed by the tap shot and raised his arms in delight. Even Westbrook, Durant and the rest of the OKC Thunder could not believe what just happened either. Booker himself was laughing all the way to the other side of the court to defend.

Hayward said about the shot in a report by Deseret News, "Oh my goodness. I've never seen a shot like that in my life in basketball. I just bounced it to him. I didn't know what he was going to do with it, honestly."

The commentator said in the Inquisitr video, "He doesn't even touch it... it's almost as if he's done it before... I know he's laughing because he can't believe it. I've never seen anything like that in a game, ever."

The commentator added, "Are you kidding me? I mean, if you want to define the phrase 'grandma shot,' that defines the phrase 'grandma shot.' I've never seen anything like that in a game, ever."

The shot was referred to by many fans as "The Craziest Circus Shot Of The Year".

Quin Snyder, coach of the Utah Jazz said in the same report by Deseret News, "We try to cover a lot of game situations. That was not one. I have to say they manufactured that."

Despite the exciting moment, the OKC Thunder went on to win the game 99-94. ESPN reported that Hayward led the Jazz in scoring with 27 points while Booker had 8 points.
