The damages caused by Hurricane Manuel in the Pacific coast of Mexico affected thousands of people who have not been fully evacuated, including various celebrities, reports TVNotas.

The entertainment magazine includes in their list of affected artists people like Jorge van Rankin, Jorge "Coque" Muñiz, María Sorté, Érika Zaba and Patty López de la Cerda, some of which have tweeted their experiences in the natural disaster zone.

The host of Televisa morning show "Hoy," Jorge van Rankin known as "El Burro," tweeted various images and messages such as:

The severity of the port of Acapulco is incredible, many people can't get out, and we're still here, but people need urgent help!

The source explains that similar to this case, actress María Sorté hasn't been able to film the telenovela "La Tempestad" in which she stars,because she is stranded in the coast, although she might be rescued by a helicopter. The actress tweeted:

@Tina_Galindo No, there's no way to the airport and the Sol and Federal highways are closed, what do you think?

Former member of pop group OV7, Érika Zaba, was in the Acapulco Diamante zone and has also tweeted her experience:

We went out to get something to cook. We found nothing besides cookies, chips and water. Red Cross people are handing out supplies.

A lot of help is needed in Guerrero. There's no food anywhere. Tuna, rice, beans, pasta, general supplies are needed.

Singer Jorge "Coque" Muñiz was rescued from the port of Acapulco thanks to a helicopter belonging to the Camil family, and the magazine explains that Patty López is still tweeting about the terrible floods:

I'm getting things to donate to people nearby and I'm surely going to the Red Cross next week.

TVNotas asks citizens to make donations in cash to the Red Cross to Bancomer account number 404040406, and in Mexico City, the government opened collection centers in the Zócalo and in all fire stations.
