Baby North West is one of the most sought after babies in the celebrity scene today. Everyone wants to see a glimpse of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's two-week-old baby girl; this includes the media and even celebrities.
So this week, power couple Jay Z and Beyonce gave the new parents a visit at grandma Kris Jenner's house, where 'Kimye' is currently staying. While the visit isn't much of a surprise --Kanye and Jay Z really close friends-- it was how much the visit cost that could make your jaws drop.
According to Daily Mail Online, the singer and the rapper brought £5,000-worth of presents for North. That's over $7,600 of baby gifts.
"Kanye is one of Jay-Z's closest friends so he wanted to get the best gift. They've had a girl themselves, so they know the right type of present," a source told the news site.
So what type of gifts could merit a tab that big? Well, Jay Z and Beyonce gave the babe a personalized pair of Christian Dior baby booties and a three-piece Elsa Peretti sterling silver baby set with baby North's name engraved on it.
"They also brought their baby girl Blue Ivy to come over and meet North. She's old enough now to be really interested in babies," the source noted.
Notably, this isn't the first time the music industry power couple gave 'Kimye' a hefty tagged-gift. Just last month, Beyonce and Jay gave Kim a £9,000 ($13,700) Swarovski-studded Carla Monchen-designed high chair as a baby shower present.
The couple's support doesn't end there for Kim and Kanye. According to Mail Online, the 31-year-old 'Crazy in Love'-singer also gave the new mom tips on becoming a mother and losing the pregnancy pounds.
