Last night at the star-studded Met Gala in New York City, the usually private Kanye West serenaded his girlfriend Kim Kardashian with a love song.
West performed a new song from his upcoming album praising Kim for being "awesome" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute Gala. An insider told Us Weekly that the track was "an ode to Kim . . .about how awesome she is," an insider explained to Us. "The audience was jamming to it. Kim was smiling and loving it," they added.
Supermodel Coco Rocha shared video footage on Vine of the performance where the 35-year-old rapper tells his seven-months-pregnant reality star, "Don't let nobody bring you down, you're so awesome, you're so awesome!"
Kardashian was clearly honored by the on-stage vote of confidence, and posted a photo of Yeezy on stage with the caption, "Baby, you're AWESOME" on Instagram afterwards.
In another clip, West is seen wearing a leather skirt, sparkly Givenchy top and studded, gauzy mask and can be seen performing what sounds like another new song in which he yells, "I am a god!"
Model Jamie King also uploaded raw footage of West singing the hook from the G.O.O.D music hit "Clique," despite telling the crowd he would only be singing new songs during the set.
Last week, the Grammy Award-winning artist tweeted a cryptic message which may be a hint as when he plans to drop his new album. He wrote "June eighteen" with no further explanation sparking speculation that he might have been talking about the debut about his new clothing line or Kim's actual due date.
