McDonald's is cooking up something new for its millions of U.S. customers. McDonald's President and CEO, Don Thompson, revealed that the fast food chain is looking at adding new features to its services, including new menu items, delivery services and all-day breakfast options.

In an interview with CNBC's "Squawk on the Street," Thompson said that the company is looking at expanding its horizon as its customers continue to evolve. One service that it's setting its eyes on is offering all-day breakfast.

"Yes, we would consider it," answered the CEO when asked whether a potential all-day breakfast menu will be possible for the chain. "We have the focus on our existing menu, but we have looked at breakfast across the day. We have it in some markets around the world."

Thompson also revealed that the world famous food chain is looking at innovative ways to expand its breakfast hours to serve its ever growing clientele. "I think we'll be seeing some of those things in the near future," he confirmed.

However, this is not the first time that McD's has teased about an all-day breakfast menu. In 2006, then CEO Jim Skinner said that the food chain was making necessary changes to accommodate the growing demand for breakfast options all throughout the day. If it pushes through, it will be the first time that U.S. McDonald's will be offering the service.

The company is also looking at offering delivery services to more areas in the U.S. In some overseas countries, like Korea, Singapore and the Philippines, food delivery has been a staple service by McDonald's. With this, the company has been testing the service in a number of U.S. cities to see how it will pan out.

"Delivery is a big, big opportunity, particularly in areas where you don't have drive-throughs," Thompson said.

Other services that the fast food chain is considering include a rewards loyalty program to keep its customers engaged with McDonald's. A mobile payment option is also being looked upon, with tests already in effect across the world, to see how the service will work out. A new set of healthier menu options will also be offered soon to meet the demands of the evolving market.

"Tastes have been changing and it's just that we, as McDonald's, have continued to evolve," Thompson said.
