The most recent episode of "The Walking Dead" may have started off a bit slow, but fulfilled its promise by offing several drooling walkers and ending with a dramatic cliffhanger. The episode followed Andrea as she left Woodbury and made an epic dash through the zombie-infested forest on her way to the prison, the rabid Governor nipping at her heals.
The episode began with a flashback to Michonne and Andrea's winter spent in the forest. We see the two eating by a small fire, two zombie pets chained to a tree nearby. Andrea asks Michonne where she got her pets and if she had known them previously. The question strikes a nerve with Michonne as she becomes distant and cold. "They deserved what they got. They weren't human to begin with," she says.
We then watch as the Governor as he slowly descends into insanity. Throughout the beginning half of the episode, the Governor is seen setting up his own underground torture chamber, complete with chains, scalpels, needles and an ominous vacant chair. Andrea catches a glimpse of the Governor's insanity and decides to run away.
On her way out, Andrea has to convince Sasha and Tyreese to let her go and warn the prison of the Governors mysterious motives.
Martinez then calls on them for a trip to the prison to grab some zombies. Sounds like a nice, casual afternoon. Along the way, Tyreese takes Andrea's words to heart and becomes upset when he realizes that they're gathering zombies to use against the prison. Ben attacks his cowardice, leading Tyreese to grab Ben and dangle him over the zombie pit. Sasha then talks Tyreese down and pulls Ben back to safety. Needless to say, tensions were high.
Meanwhile the Governor, in pursuit of Andrea, finds her in the woods. After being chased into an abandoned warehouse, Andrea is cornered and unable to escape the Governor's advances. Or is she? Andrea proves her cunning by sneaking through a backdoor and letting in a group of walkers, trapping the Governor inside. But the as Andrea reaches the prison, the Governor magically pops up behind her, stopping her in her tracks.
Upon the Governor's return to Woodbury, fans are left to wonder at the fate of Andrea, but as the episode comes to a close, we see the haunting her haunting image bound and gagged in the ominous chair from the Governor's hidden torture chamber.
