Ryan Reynolds is one of Hollywood's most prominent stars. He's proven himself as a big time actor and has even shown glimpses of his tough side in films like Smokin' Aces and X-Men. That's why his alleged brawl with co-star Scott Speedman has gotten so much attention.
But don't get too excited. The 36-year-old actor was photographed the moment he laid out Speedman, not in a fit of rage, but during a scene from his upcoming suspense movie Queen of the Night.
In the film, directed by Atom Egoyan, Reynolds plays a man who begins to find clues that his presumably dead daughter is still alive. Rosario Dawson plays the detective in charge of the investigation into the girl's whereabouts. It's not clear what role Speedman plays, according to Inquisitr.
In the photo, Reynolds appears to be putting all he can muster into his punch, and Speedman looks like he's going down and not coming back up. It's easy to see how upon its release, the photo circulated quickly and rumors spread about on on-set altercation, but it proved to be nothing more than a photograph snapped at the perfect time.
It would have been much more exciting had it been real. Hollywood can be so fake.
