**Update: Rockstar Games, citing delays and the need for more polish, has announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 will release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Sept. 17. Stay tuned to Latinos Post as the story develops.

As the release date for Rockstar Games' highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 5 draws closer, we have some good news for hungry gamers: the release date could be revealed as early as Feb. 5, and it looks like a PC version could be in the works.

Wedbush analyst Michael Patcher went on record to say that he is almost certain that Grand Theft Auto 5's release date will be revealed during Take-Two's Q1 2013 fiscal report, which will come out on Feb. 5. Patcher expects the game to release in May, although an earlier report indicates that it could be March. We'll have to wait and see, of course, and as of now, the only official time frame given by Rockstar is "spring 2013."

Many gamers have been clamoring for a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5, and while Rockstar hasn't officially announced one, a Rockstar LinkedIn reveals that the developer could be in the process of porting the game over for PC.

Ryan Schacter, senior animator at Rockstar Games, writes on his LinkedIn profile that he currently working on cutscene animation for Grand Theft Auto 5 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. It's not exactly an official press release, but as far as we're concerned, Rockstar would be foolish to not listen to gamers' protests, so a PC version is inevitable in the long run. Even Amazon's French website seems to think so.

Grand Theft Auto 5 will give gamers a taste of Rockstar's biggest open world yet - the sprawling metropolis of Los Santos, based off real-life Los Angeles. Gamers will be able to fly planes again, scuba dive off the coast, and even take hikes through the massive world. Grand Theft Auto 5 will also be the first in the series to give gamers control over three main protagonists that can be switched on the fly to take advantage of each one's unique strengths to complete missions.

Are you picking up Grand Theft Auto 5 for the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3? Or does the hint of a PC version have you more excited?
