The Samsung Galaxy S4 will hit the U.S. market by the end of the month, but there’s still no word on exactly when Verizon will offer the new flagship smartphone.
We already know that the United States and most of Europe will be getting a version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 with a Snapdragon 600 processor. But new benchmarks definitively show the Exynos 5 variant is the fastest mobile device on the planet.
According to recent rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be unveiled in India on Apr. 25, and retail stores will have the new flagship smartphone in stock two days later.
The same developer who warned that the initial attempt to root the Exynos 5 Octa version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 had not worked has now successfully tested a root of the other version of the S4.
Samsung has partnered up with Absolute to deliver a remote tracking service for the Galaxy S4, as part of the Samsung KNOX program.

The AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been spotted at the FCC, with its telltale LTE band 17 support, used only by AT&T in the U.S. It’s going by the name SCH-i337.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 won’t be out for another month in the United States, but it looks like enterprising developers have already figured out how to root the device, though only Galaxy S4 models running an Exynos 5 Octa processor will be able to use the method.
It looks like the major carriers aren’t the only ones offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 for pre-order in a few weeks. U.S. Cellular will start taking orders for the new flagship smartphone on Apr. 16, the same day as AT&T.
More good news for Verizon globetrotters: the version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 released through the carrier will have global roaming capabilities, according to documents from the Federal Communications Commission.
The Exynos 5 Octa processor in some Samsung Galaxy S4 models is compatible with LTE networks, according to a tweet from the company.
As part of its new pricing scheme, T-Mobile is offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 for $99 down and $20 monthly payments. It will be available May 1.
