One Direction just announced their one year hiatus and Harry Styles is reportedly being offered a major deal from a major player in the game - Sony.
Sony is reportedly seeking Harry Styles after One Direction announced their one year split to pursue individual projects. The band confirmed the announcement to their One Directioners via Twitter.
Niall Horan tweeted, "We are not splitting up but we will be taking a well earned break at some point next year," followed by, "Don't worry though, we still have lots we want to achieve! Can't wait for you to hear all the new music we have for you and to perform. Some new songs as the tour continues! Love you all. xx."
Bandmate Louis Tomlinson also assured their fandom they would return to music together. "Don't worry." "Promise." "Your support is truly indescribable! It's just a break :) we're not going anywhere!!"
This must be heart wrenching for the One-Directioners who already lost Zayn Malik earlier this year. However the good news seems to be in the running for Harry styles, who is allegedly being sought out by Sony Music.
The Sun reports, top execs at the music label are looking to turn Harry into their solo star for a variety of reasons, ahead of launching the solo careers of Niall Horan, Louis Tomilson, and Liam Payne. First off calling him the favorite of the bandmates.
The Sun's insider gushed, "Harry has always been One Direction's most popular member and it's obvious that we want to secure him - he's a global superstar."
And although, there could be competition to get an album out first, since Zayn quit 1D and signed with RCA, Sony is aware of the pressure to produce quality music for the most loved member of One Direction.
"Zayn will get to release an album first, as he left the band earlier, but the most excitement is about what Harry is going to do. Everyone wants to know what his solo material will sound like, there's also a lot of pressure to get it right," reveals the source.
At this time Sony has not commented directly on Harry's solo deal, but rather the groups forthcoming album. "We are committed to all of One Direction and are looking forward to the release of the group's new album."
The album is looking to be released in November.
