No need for sunnies, because the shade is real! Former One Directioner, Zayn Malik, has been spending a lot of time on the internet since his split from his boy bandmates and girlfriend, Perrie Edwards - taking the time to hunt for new girlfriends and shade his ex-girlfriend's band, Little Mix among other things.
The 22-year old singer is clearly not a fan of his former girl or her band and he is making it rather public knowledge. The newly signed RCA artist must really like social media. He broke up with Perrie via text a few weeks ago and there appears to be bad blood between the pair - as well as adding her band mates to the mix.
Shady Music Facts on Twitter asked fans to vote for which girl group single was better in their opinion - "Worth It" by Fifth Harmony or "Black Magic" by Little Mix." Voters could retweet to endorse Fifth Harmony or favorite to back "Black Magic." Mister Malik retweeted the message, essentially voting for Fifth Harmony and dissing Little Mix's "Black Magic."
Yikes! This is not all Zayn has done to show his disdain for the UK-based girl group. He has unfollowed their Twitter account earlier this week. Little Mix does not seem to be taking it lightly though. They have been taking their fair share of shots, even calling him irrelevant. During a meet and greet at radio station Live 101.5 in Arizona on Aug. 9, a fan brought Perrie a sign that read "Zayn is Irrelevant Anyways." The "Salute" singers obviously thought the sign was pretty funny, as post meet-and-greet bandmate, Jade Thirlwall, was spotted taking it back onto the tour bus with them.
HollywoodLife.com exclusively learned the shade is rumored to move from social media to center stage at the Teen Choice Awards. Zayn fears Perrie will use winning the TCA Choice Music Group Female Award as the ultimate opportunity to lash back at the singer, especially with all her fans in the audience. "Zayn really doesn't want Little Mix to win at the Teen Choice Awards. He knows that will give Perrie the perfect platform to diss him again and he doesn't want to deal with it," reveals an insider. Looks like fans will see what unfolds later today, as the Teen Choice Awards airs tonight.
