T-Mobile is offering the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for zero dollars up front, in a limited-time special sale.
T-Mobile launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on Wednesday, and the company decided to gin up a little more interest by letting customers walk away from the store with new Galaxy Note 3 for no money down.
The "uncarrier" already had one of the best prices (at least for the first installment) of all of the major wireless carriers before this promotion put it over the top.
On Sept. 18, T-Mobile began taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, promising to launch the phablet in brick and mortar locations in the U.S. on Oct. 2.
The regular cost of a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is $199 down and then payments of $21 for the phone for 24 months, on top of the T-Mobile monthly wireless plan fee. The total cost comes to $704, plus extra fees and taxes.
But now the carrier will let you leave the store with a new Galaxy Note 3 for $0, although that doesn't exactly mean you're paying less in the long run.
That's because, as part of the deal, according to SamMobile, you'll be paying an extra $29.50 per month instead.
Still, if you're cash-poor right now (but still plan on having the means to eventually pay for one of the top flagship smartphones of the year), the deal is great.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was officially unveiled in early Sept. at the "Samsung Unpacked 2013: Episode 2" event in Berlin. There it was revealed to have a 2.3GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with a record-breaking 3GB of RAM, and a brand new S Pen capable of more multitasking. The handset comes with a 3,200 mAh battery, 32GB of storage (minimum), and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box.
