Gold-plated Lamborghini is World’s Most Expensive Car

A gold-plated Lamborghini made from several pounds of solid gold will be making a scene soon. The price tag? A whopping $7.5 million.

Those eager to cough up millions for this luxury car will have to wait though, as the gold plated Lamborghini is still in its prototype stage. Creator Robert Gulpen has made a prototype of the world's most expensive car in a 1:8 scale. According to him, the car will be auctioned soon after it has been created with a starting bid of $7.5 million. $650,000 will be reserved for charitable purposes, he says in his website.

The gold-plated Lamborghini will be carved out of a 1,100 pound of solid gold and will be created using 55 pounds of the same material. The rims will be casted from gold and platinum. The entire interior of the car including the seats, the cockpit and the steering wheel will also be made out of the same material. Aside from gold, the luxury car will also be adorned with precious gems and stones in all sizes -estimated to be worth over $2 million. The gold-plated Lamborghini will be modeled after the Lamborghini Avantador.
