Grand Theft Auto 5 is officially one month away, and the game has gone through some major updates in the time leading up to this critical date. The game is a heavy favorite for game of the year, and we bring an overview of what fans can expect from the game.
One of the biggest updates to the game is the Grand Theft Auto 5 Online mode that Rockstar recently revealed to the public. The mode will allow players to form crews with their friends and explore the world of Grand Theft Auto 5.
Players can either take on missions and heists to gain money and reputation, or they can explore Los Santos and Blaine County freely without having to worry about completing goals. Players can also face off against other crews in death matches and race each other as well. The mode will even have a content creator available for players to create race tracks or death match maps for the game and share them among friends and the world. However, the mode will not be available at launch on September 17, but will be available on October 1.
Another big rumor concerns the game coming to PC. While it appeared as though the game would be coming to PC, it has since been confirmed that there are no plans for a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5, at least initially.
For those not interested in the online portions of Grand Theft Auto 5, there will still be plenty to do in the single player offline mode of the game. The game features three playable characters, Trevor, Franklin, and Michael. These three characters can be switched between on the fly, whether players are in a mission or merely meandering around the game. If players switch between characters when they are not together, they could find the other characters getting into their own mischief. Players will be able to buy a huge amount of different items in the game, from souped-up super cars and boats to military jets and helicopters to tear up the game's environments in.
Rockstar is preparing gamers for the game in their own way by having a frequently updating travelogue for the game to show off various aspects of the game.
Look out for more Grand Theft Auto 5 news as the game gets closer to release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and Rockstar prepares for their masterpiece for release.
